Michelle Meier has been practicing yoga since 1999. She’s always loved the way it increases her strength and flexibility but it wasn’t until 2012 that yoga become her lifeline.
At the time her mom was diagnosed with metastatic cancer and given 6 months to live. Knowing Michelle’s heart for helping others and her passion for dance and movement, her mom suggested getting certified in yoga.
Getting on her mat regularly during her years of training gave Michelle the strength, clarity and presence to not only process her grief but to even discover beauty and magic during the deepest heartbreak of her life.
Michelle’s mom inspired her with her peaceful acceptance of her fate and the way she expressed her love and joy for everything in life in her final months.
Michelle created LoveJOYoga Therapy as a tribute to her mom. Her mission is to help people become active participants in their health, healing and personal growth so that we can not only elevate ourselves but elevate each other too.
The LoveJOYoga Therapy Method integrates mind, body and spirit to promote healing on all levels, whether dealing with injuries, illness, grief or day-to-day stress.
Michelle incorporates therapeutic and restorative yoga with mindfulness, meditation and visualization, emphasizing the mind-body connection. These are effective tools that can help us break out of living a life of stress, unhappiness and "dis-ease" to, instead, creating a life of unconditional love, joy and inner peace.
